Its on!

Yeah and we thought the last three days had a lot of action.
So its here finally, the first of the final two days.
The stalls are all up.Banners screaming in your face. Registrations pouring in endlessly.Coordinators and volunteers running helter-skelter with their color T-shirts and walkie-talkies.  The tough security girls are on their job making sure everything's in place.
The rain may have tried to play party-pooper,but it didn't dampen the K'scope spirit.
The Dus Ka Tees finals was indeed a laughing riot with ballerinas and Baba Shamdevs!
Open Mic night gave amateur bands an opportunity to show us what they got and boy,did they get the crowd! The JAM finals were entertaining beyond description.
One more day left.
Be there.

Its showtime: Day 1

Excitement, anxiety, expectations and lots and lots of hope.Every inch of Sophia College screams KALEIDOSCOPE.The name greets you at the entrance and the feeling imbibes in you all through the campus.

.Organizers- multitasking between helping out the participants, registrations, paper work and everything else you can think of-paced around try to take it all in amidst all the chaos and excitement. For many of us, the first Kaleidoscopic ever and for many, their last.

The turnout of students from other colleges was pretty impressive.Despite the last minute changes in the venues and timings of different events, everything went smoothly. The elimination rounds were so entertaining that we cant wait for their finals. As the day came to a close, Furtados entertained us with their music which was exactly what we needed after the first exhausting day of KALEIDOSCOPE 2011.
It was a great end to a brilliant day. KALEIDOSCOPE 2011 has officially begun.

An Oriental Hue

The beauty of a Predator,
The wisdom in a tree,
The magic of Creation, and
The joy in good, strong tea,

The pride of Eagles flying bold,
The earliest rising rays,
And certain epic tales, retold
A thousand different ways,
Simple facts of heart and soil
Are these- the core and root
From which still grows, through time
and toil,
A brilliant, branching shoot,
Old as the Earth, the Gods to reach,
Ever-changing, ever New,
To each his own true scent, to each,
An Oriental Hue.
